Q – What forms of payments are acceptable?
A – We currently Online Credit Card Payments, cash, check, money order or certified funds.

Q – How much do I have to pay up-front to get started on my site?
A – A 50% deposit is required to begin any design work on a website or project. This 50% is based on the cost of the Design Package plus 100% of any site Add-Ons or extras. Add-ons and extras are payable in full at time of order.

Q – I don’t want to manage my own website, does NB Designs offer maintenance services?
A – Yes, we do offer a variety of Web Maintenance Packages to those who do not wish to maintain and update their own site. To add a maintance package to your plan, simply notify your project coordinator and he or she will be happy to assist you.

Q - To whom do I make my monthly hosting payment?

If you registered your website and reserved your hosting independent and separate of a Nations Best Design Package, please make your payment directly to the website hosting provider with whom you registered. If your domain and hosting were secured by Nations Best Designs and included in your Design Package, please make your hosting payment directly to Nations Best Designs. Please note that there will be a $5 administration fee included in the cost of your hosting paid through Nations Best Designs.

Q – Does NB Designs offer referral fees or discounts for referring customers?
A – Yes and yes. We value your loyalty and reward it with discounts and/or cash, whatever your preference. NB Designs will give a 10% referral fee and/or discount on any customer that you refer who completes their website design with NB Designs. Referral payments and/or discounts are applied and made within 30 days of the completion and delivery of the respective customer’s website.

Q – How do I register a domain name or find out if a domain name is registered?
A – Prior to registering your domain, you must first check the availability of the URL. You can do this by going to 1and1 Web Hosting or another registration services. If you choose, you also provide us with the name(s) you desire using our Web Needs Assessment Form and we will check the domain availability for you.

Once you’ve verified the availabilty of the domain name, you can register it directly with the registration service, or you can provide us with the available domain and we will register it for you. Domain Registration using NB Designs is $25.

Q - Who owns my domain and how long is the registration good for?
A – We register all domain names to their owners (you). The domain registration is good for 1 each year in renewable increments.

Q – Does my site have to be hosted by NB Designs or can I choose my own host?
A – You can choose any company that you’d like to host your site although we do have strong preferences because of various factors including cost, speed, and reliability. If you choose your own host, you must provide us with the server and log in so we can begin building your site to your location.

Q – I already have an existing domain name through another company, can I use it with an NB Designs website?
A – Yes. When filling out your Web Design Needs Form, simply enter your domain name (URL address) or let your sales representative or Project Manager know that you’d like to transfer your existing domain name. We will give you specific instructions for transferring your domain name during your design process.

Q - Do you offer Technical Support?
A – Technical Support is generally available through your hosting provider. NB Designs Technical Support is available by phone Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm E.S.T at 888-351-4588 ext. 3 or by email at support@nationsbestdesigns.com.

Q - How do I improve my Search Engine Ranking to drive more visitors to my website.
A – NB Designs does offer Professional Website Marketing Service for those who wish to increase their online visibility and Web Presence. For those do-it-yourselfers who wish to take a more conservative approach to increase site rankings and would like to know a little more about how to do it, there are numerous free articles out on the web to help with your marketing efforts including invaluble information located at www.searchenginewatch.com. In a nutshell, there are 2 basic was to increase site ranking

1) Natural Methods – These methods involve good old fashioned work and time to achieve good rankings.

  • Search Engine Optimization w/ Search Engine Submission - Search engine optimization involves choosing targeted keyword or phrases related to a site and ensuring that the site shows up well in search results when searched for by potential visitors. Research must be done to determine which keywords to target. This involves finding relevant titles, Meta tags, and keywords, determining their popularity, assessing the amount of competition, and deciding which keywords can be best supported with quality content.
  • Link / Banner exchanges and programs – Another way that you can drive traffic your site is to work with various complimentary, non-competing websites by placing links to your site on their site. This helps is 2 ways. One way that it helps is that it is a marketing tool that's similar to word of mouth advertising and sends people to your site via "referral" of sorts. The second but equally important way that this works is that search engines factor in the amount of times that your website links appear on other sites to determine your overall ranking. Simply put, the more your link appears on other sites, the more popular your site will become with the search engines and general public.
  • Time & Patience – Many search engines, including google rank you according to the amount of visitors you’ve had visit your site. In summary, the more visitors that visit a site, the higher it will get ranked. This is why oftentimes it is easier for the most popular sites to stay atop the rankings. The only way this search engine factor can be overcome is through time and patience.

2) Pay Per Click Campaigns - Pay Per Click campaigns are just that, the advertiser (that would be you) pays every time a searcher "clicks" on the ad or listing. By clicking on the link or ad, the searcher is essentially being led to your Web site. So, every "click" can be counted as a "Web site visitor". The advertiser (you) determines the price you are willing to pay for each "click" and what their budget will be for the campaign. Many clicks campaigns can start with budgets as low as $20/month with each click being as low as $.02 each.

Q - What if I want to cancel my order before my website is completed?
A - If the client applies by a registered letter for refund within fifteen (15) days of this contract, work already completed shall be billed at the hourly rate of $50 deducted from the initial payment. If the work that has been completed is beyond amount covered in the initial payment, the client shall be liable to pay for all work completed at the hourly rate of $75.
